Bianca Carter, LMSW, CLC
Hello,
My name is Bianca Carter, LMSW. I am a practicing clinician under the supervision of Dr. Samantha Smalls. I have been working in the clinical field collectively for 8 years, and have experience working with both children and adults. My most recent work focused on serving the homeless population in New Haven. At a young age, I always knew God put me on this earth to help people.
Motherhood is a chapter in one’s life that brings forth many emotions and expectations; it's not until you enter that chapter, you truly learn what it is all about. You begin to realize that all the expectations, advice, perspectives, and knowledge you thought you obtained to prepare, hadn't prepared you at all.
My goal is to help you transition and navigate motherhood by guiding you through each step of the process as you discover this role. My mission is to help you embrace motherhood while keeping yourself intact.
I am a mother of two young children, who rocks my world and keeps me on my toes. It has been a joy, thus far, watching them grow and provide the best of me. My journey to motherhood has not been an easy one. From fibroid tumors, numerous myomectomies, PCOS, high-risk pregnancies, cesarean births, and being told that I cannot have any more children was no easy feat. I am here to say that though my journey has not been an easy one, I have survived and you can too! I hope to listen, support, guide, and provide knowledge and tools so that you can advocate for yourself and conquer your feat.
I love to laugh-- I am that person that would laugh at a corny joke. I also pride myself on my ability to “keep it real.” I don’t believe in sugar-coating, because that doesn’t help anyone. I love reading in general, but my favorite genre is historical romance. I love Indian food, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends.
