Our Team

OWNER, CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Dr. Samantha Smalls, DSW

My goal is to support women going through various life transitions in young adulthood who feel as if they have lost their way. I’m a mom who struggled with low self-esteem, guilt, postpartum depression and desperately tried to hold onto a loveless relationship. I have fought my way out, and I’m passionate about other women doing the same. When I think about New Chapters, I think about moving forward, not starting over. Our past is what has paved the way for our future. They are the foundation that has taught us lessons of love loss, trauma, strength, and survival. Embrace your old chapters as you continue to write your story.

My goal is to help you transition and navigate motherhood by guiding you through each step of the process as you discover this role. My mission is to help you embrace motherhood while keeping yourself intact. My journey to concentrate on perinatal mental health started with my entry into motherhood. My goal is to assist you with bringing out your best self. It’s very easy to get caught in life’s web and not make yourself a priority. You are important to yourself, family and the people that are apart of your day to day life. We have to pour into ourselves before pouring out to others.

Christina Forrester, LMSW

My goal is to empower women who are transitioning into motherhood with the support, skills and empathy they need to overcome their current challenges. I have always had a passion for working with young women. This passion stems from my own personal experience with regard to struggling with low self-esteem, depression and anxiety. Fast forward, I am now a mom! This new found role triggered my anxiety. It took some time for me to feel like myself again. My journey towards healing was about seeking out professional and personal support, letting go of unhealthy relationships, reframing my thoughts, setting boundaries and building my self- worth. I am hopeful that in your next chapter I can assist in supporting you to do the same.

I enjoy utilizing an alternative, holistic approach to pharmacology. Through a trauma-sensitive and client-centered approach, I can look at psychiatry through a non-judgmental, existential, and holistic lens, helping to connect your mind and body. My goal is to work alongside you, helping you to meet your personal goals. I have a warm and informal approach to psychiatric care and will listen with compassion, kindness, and respect. I hope that you'll allow me to assist and guide you to a better understanding of your own strengths and abilities, leading to a more fulfilling life. I’m aware that we can't always help what cards were dealt in life, but I know that psychiatric care can be of great assistance in times of need.
